I pulled out just enough supplies to make this adorable Halloween coaster box this afternoon. All of my supplies are packed up for a crop tomorrow, but I pulled a few out to use. We had a half day at school today, so I got home early and decided to participate in the MFT Ambassador Challenge for October, which was to make a Halloween treat. I followed a tutorial on Splitcoast to create the coaster box. The coasters were from Chili's, just a few I grabbed from the table last time I ate there!
I covered each coaster with some dp from the Target $ bin. I then used my cropadile to punch holes in the sides and threaded the coasters together with ribbon. I painted the sides of the coasters because my paper didn't line up exactly, so I cheated with some black paint! I used the MFT set "Fright Night" to stamp the witch and colored her with my Copics (my trusty SU! markers are packed away for tomorrow). I cut the scallop circle with my Big Shot die, once with black paper and once with chipboard (goes through like a dream!). I then embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder that looks like a spider web. I added the punched bats (Martha Stewart) and the sentiment to complete it. The box is filled with Halloween goodies like peanut butter cups and chocolate bars.
Have a wonderful weekend!
