It's the Weekend!

Yay!  The weekend is here! I'm looking forward to spending some time stamping this weekend, especially since some new Chichiboullie Fairies just arrived in the mail for me today from Stamping Bella!

This card is one I made last week. Another teacher at work, Alyssa, has been buying a lot of my cards lately and requested a "new home" card. I thought the fruit was fitting for this occasion, especially since I didn't really have anything else that I thought would go. I LOVE this stamp set and coordinating paper, I'll be sad to see it go soon.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tart and Tangy, Michael's $ Stamp
Paper:  Summer Picnic DP, Real Red, Ballet Blue, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, SU! Markers in Real Red and Garden Green
Accessories: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Crystal Effects, Corner Rounder

Terrific Thursday!

Hi! I didn't get a chance to make any new creations tonight. My uncle is visiting for the weekend, so we had a BBQ and then went to visit the Iris Gardens in our town.  This week sure flew by with having Monday off...too bad every week can't be a 4 day week! Everyday we've been counting how many more days of school are left, and today it is 16 more days...time sure flies!

Here is a card I made a few weeks ago using partygirlabella and some new Basic Grey paper.  Such a cute combo!

Supplies:
Stamps: partygirlabella by Stamping Bella, Phrases for a Friend, SU!
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Vellum, Basic Grey Cupcake DP
Ink: Archival Black, SU! Markers
Accesories:  Ribbon, Heidi Swapp Edge Distresser, Brads, Stickles

A few of my favorite things...

I used some of Cindy's MFT sketches at Splitcoast to make some cards tonight.  Here is one of the cards, using "Can Ya Dig It?" for MFTSC32. I used the paper piecing technique on her dress, to give it a design.  The MFT stamps are perfect for paper piecing because they are usually simple images to cut out.  I also masker her feet sitting in the dirt to stamp the speckled background to look like dirt. Thanks for looking, talk to you later!

Supplies:
Stamps: Can ya dig it?, SU! Bitty Backgrounds
Paper: Certainly Celery, Ruby Red, So Saffron, Whisper White, Bo-Bunny DP
Ink: Basic Black, SU! Markers
Accessories: SU! Flower Punches, Brands, Vellum, Stardust Glitter Pen

Making Sara Proud...

...by actually using my Nestabilities die cuts! I finally ordered the sizzix black adaptor pads, and they came in the mail today. I ran out to my porch to give them a whirl, and...they worked! I don't get a great embossing look yet, but I have read that I need a "tan embossing mat"...so the search begins for this!

I cut the squares first for this card, and then found a stamp that fit (a bit of backwards planning there!).  I love the look of the scallop and the mini embossing that it does to the edges!
Supplies:
Stamps: Elzybells, Amuse Sentiment
Paper: Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, SU! Markers
Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Small and Large SU! Oval Punches, Paper Piercer, Sakura Stardust Pen

Another Cupcake Day!

Here is my card that I made for Taylor's Cupcake Sketch #17, I love her cards and sketches. I feel like lately, I can't make a card without a sketch!  Not only are they fun to participate in, but they really make your cards look complete.

Supplies:
Stamps: Matilda Muffin by Stampingbella, You Take the Cake by MFT
Paper: Purely Pomegrante, Lovely Lilac DP, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Purely Pomegrante
Accessories: Scallop Scissors, SU! Markers, Stickles, Circle Punch, MM Brads

Thanks for looking, have a Happy Memorial Day weekend!
