Believe!

Wow, it's been too long! I wanted to share this Christmas banner I made tonight to hang in our living room.  I used Ski Slope dp, as well as Baja Breeze cardstock.  I stamped an image from "Season of Joy" on the largest pennant.  All edges were inked with a dauber and ink pad.  For the embellishments, I cut the snowflake from my Big Shot, out of white paper, and then heat embossed it with iridescent ice ep.  The letters were cut out with my Serif alphabet, out of chipboard, then inked with an Old Olive craft pad, and heat embossed with clear ep.  The whole thing was stringed together with cranberry grosgrain ribbon.  Here is a close up of one of the pennants.  The other pennants look identical, except for the letter.

Project Night!

I made a few projects tonight, for my friend Ninetta, who recently celebrated a birthday. She is interested in stamping, so I think she'll really enjoy the gifts! First, for her card, I made a double pocket card, which has a bookmark in each pocket. A tutorial for how to make the card can be found on Splitcoast: Diagonal Double Pocket Card.  The direction

s are easy to follow and the results are great!  I used the stamp set "Embrace Life" and the new DP "Bella Rose," along with some new In-Colors.  

The second

project I made is a mini-pocket book. Directions can be found at this blog. The entire books

 takes only 1 sheet of 12"x 12" paper! Each page is a pocket, however I only left 4 pockets, and made single pages for the remaining pages.  I used the Bella Rose DP to decorate, as well as SU! flower punches, and the "Embrace Life" stamp set. I tried to get pictures of most pages, but it was difficult because the book doesn't stand up too well on it's own.

I am (not to) patiently waiting for my new SU! catalog order to arrive tomorrow! Can't wait to play with new stamps soon!
