Easter is on it's way!

Hi again! I made this card for Taylor's sketch challenge for this week (TECC57).  I just got this simply adorable Sophia stamp in the mail from Paper Pretties.  I joined their Pretties club, so each month you are mailed a new Sophia and matching sentiment in the mail.  She is simply precious, especially this Easter one.  I paired her with some Bella Birds SU! dsp.  On my striped panel, I punched a Martha Stewart punch along the bottom edge.  I cut the sentiment out with my SU! oval punch.  The buttons are from the Button Latte set from SU! (love these!).  I also added some stitching around the outside of the bottom two layers.

A New Darling!

Good afternoon!  My cousin just had a baby girl, so I knew I just had to make a girly new baby card to send to him and his wife!  I used the sketch from the OCCC for today as the basis for my card.  The stamped image is an Elzybells Stamp called "Peace, dream and wishes," and the sentiment is from a SU! set. I used my nesties to cut out and mat the main image, and colored her in with Copics. I added some glitter on the stars and her halo.  The dsp is a combo of "Bella Birds" and Pink Pirouette prints pack.  I used the in-color buttons threaded with some cute polka dot ribbon.  I also punched a heart out of acetate with my SU! heart punch for the heart underneath the Pink Pirouette flower button.

Magical Mermaid

Good evening! I finally got a chance to sit down and stamp tonight.  I just got the Bella order I had placed when there was a free shipping promotion, and she was perfect to use on my card tonight! I paired her with the BSC69 on Splitcoast, and some new SU! dsp, called "Pink Flamingo".  I colored underwatergoddess-abella with my Copics, and then added some Doodlebug glitter to her starfish and the flowers in her headband.  I then cut the image out with my nesties, and used my sewing machine to add some stitching around the outside.  I also added some stitching to the rectangle panels, which I tried to make look like waves.  The sentiment is included with this bella, and was stamped on vellum.  I added some primas to top it off!

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Warm Thoughts

This card was inspired by multiple sources! First, I loved this week's sketch challenge on Splitcoast, with the lovely circles, so I knew I wanted to create a card for it, and second I am wearing my "Life is Good" coffee t-shirt, which inspired me to use my favorite stamp set, "Like it a Latte".  This card measures 5 1/2" by 5 1/2".  I used the Sweet Slumber dsp, which is actually cardstock weight, along with the Baja Breeze prints pack.  I stitched a lot on the layers to make a warm, cozy feeling.  I used my Sizzix scallop circle die cut for the large scallops, and my CM cutting system for the circles (still waiting for the Circle Scissors Plus!).  I added some glitter on the foam on the coffee cup, and punched a heart out of acetate to decorate the coffee cup.  I used a dauber and Baja Breeze ink to dye the plain white Prima Flower.

This will probably be my final post for the week.  I am leaving tomorrow afternoon for an all weekend crop in Cape May, and won't be back until Sunday night.  Have a great rest of your week!

Shamrock Luck

This is another card with goodluckabella, following Jen's Sketch for you to Try (SFYTT).  I used many of the same papers as my previous card, as well as this adorable ribbon.  I added a Prima flower with a brad in the corner, although Jen's sketch calls for a grouping of 3, I just couldn't fit it!  The sentiment is also from a Studio G set.  I added some Ecalyptus Stickles on Bella's shirt and the shamrocks.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Going Green!

In Honor of St. Patrick's Day! I know Valentine's Day just passed, but it's time to move on to the next holiday already! I've had this goodluckabella for a whole year, and never used her!  For my card, I followed Mercy's Sketch Challenge (MTSC31).  I colored goodluckabella with Copics, matching the SU! colors Lovely Lilac, Certainly Celery, and Wild Wasabi.  I used the Sizzix top note die for the cut out behind the image, with a Studio G sentiment stamped on it.  I got the ribbon at Michael's last night, it is by American Crafts.  For the bottom purple border, I punched some hearts from a Martha Stewart punch, and then glued them onto the piece of paper to look like shamrocks.

Thanks for visiting today!

A Birdie Monday

Hi everyone! It's Monday again, and it is the start of my week of vacation!  I was able to make a card for the Mojo Monday sketch, and card just for fun featuring a new stamp set.  I used "Trendy Trees" for the card, and the dsp "Good Morning Sunshine".  I tore a strip of Kiwi Kiss paper, and stamped a tree top from the set to add some "grass" to the bottom of the image.
For Mojo Monday #74, I used the stamp set "Cheep Talk" along with the "Flock Together" dsp. I stamped the branch and birdie, then inked with a dauber and Tempting Turq ink around the outside.  I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the birdie's wing.  I chose to omit the circle piece, because I stamped my sentiment right onto the ribbon with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Howdy!

Howdy everyone! I made this card today for the latest OCC challenge, which was (my fav!) a sketch challenge, created by the talented Laurie Schmidlin.  I used the "Howdy" image from a level 2 hostess set called "A Little Something" and then pulled out some paper and stamps that went with the cowgirl theme. I used the stamp set "Wanted" and the paper "Outlaw" to compliment this cute image from "A Little Something".  I wanted the look to be super distress-y, so I inked the edges of all layers.  On the circle panels, I stamped the wanted in Chocolate Chip craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  For the other two circles, I stamped the images on white glossy cardstock with versamark, and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then added ink to the circles with a dauber and wiped off the excess to leave the embossed image showing (I think it's called emboss resist).  I sewed around the bottom layer and the square in the center with my Janome.  Ribbon is from a local store called "G and G" which sells huge rolls of ribbon super cheap.

Valentine's Mailboxes

Good evening! I was blog browsing this evening, and saw these adorable creations by Christine and fell in love. Yes, I've seen the mailboxes before, have even had them laying around my house for at least 2 years, but something about her design caught my eye.  It inspired me to make my own, following her layout pretty closely.  These will be gifts for my 2 good college friends who I'll see on Valentine's Day (I just have to drop by Target tomorrow for some goodies to fill it with!).
I used the "Candy Lane" dsp by SU!, along with the "Love You Much" stamp set.  For the cover, I added a Sizzix scallop circle die cut, and then cut some circles with my CM tools (the SU! cutting system is on backorder).  I stamped the heart and colored it in, then used my glue pen to cover the whole heart in glue and add some Martha Stewart glitter.  I tied on some random ribbon on the arm, and added some matching primas.  I used my SU! full heart punch to punch a heart out of acetate, and then added some flowers to it for the arm handle.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

A Little Birdie Says Hello!

Well...I finally got my Stampin Up! order! There were so many yummy goodies in the box, it was hard to decide what to use first!  I made this card for the SC215 on Splitcoast, featuring a bunch of new things! I used the stamp set "Good Friend" (and "Cheep Talk" for the sentiment), along with the "Flock Together" designer series paper.  I paper pieced the birdie's wing with the dsp.  The ribbon is Double Stitched Wild Wasabi, and features a Latte Button in white, tied on with linen thread.  I added some paper piercing around the outside of the one layer, and some Tempting Turquoise brads in the corners of the birdie piece for interest.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Another Mojo Monday!

Hi! I have a Mojo Monday card to share with you today. I can't believe I am actually getting this done on Monday, when the sketch is posted!  I made this card with the SU! set Eastern Blooms, and the dsp "Urban Garden".  I stamped the flowers from Eastern bloom in Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Not Quite Navy, and then cut some flowers from the Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy pieces to lay over the Kiwi Kiss vine.  I also added Crystal Effects to these 5 cut out flowers.  For the flower in the left corner, I inked it in Baja Breeze, and then "rocked" the edges in Not Quite Navy before stamping it.  The sentiment is from a CTMH set called "Annotations".

Thanks for stopping by!  Oh yeah, my new SU! order comes tomorrow! Yahooooo!

Scatter Joy!

I made this card today for the OCC Inspiration challenge.  The challenge was to pick your favorite embellishment and design a card around it.  It only took me a nanosecond to figure out my favorite embellishment: glitter!  I finally found my Season of Friendship stamp set, which was mixed in with my Christmas sets, and thought I'd make a wintery tree.  I added glitter along the tree branches, as well as on my sentiment piece, around the outside.  I used the paper pack "Afternoon Tea" paired with Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, and Riding Hood Red.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts, all other supplies are SU!

Always

Good evening! Yay, it's Friday! I could really use a weekend after a full and busy week.  I just keep telling myself it is 1 more week until winter break!  I made this card this evening for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge (TECC 54).  I used the SU! set "Always" along with a retired dsp, "Afternoon Tea".  This paper features some of the older in-colors, but I substituted Soft Sky for Baja Breeze, and it matched pretty well.  The bird was stamped in Close to Cocoa craft ink, and embossed with clear embossing powder, and then cut with my nesties.  The ribbon feature has a new button from the Latte set, which has some twine threaded through it.  The groovy guava flowers are from a SU! flower punch, and feature a Kaisercraft pearl.  I machine stitched around the bottom 2 layers.

Thanks for stopping by tonight, have a great weekend!

Morning Sunshine Thanks

Just one more for tonight using the Morning Sunshine dp, and Petal Pizzazz.  I used SC212 from Splitcoast for this card.  I stamped 3 of the flowers from the stamp set and then layered them together with a brad.  The brown flourish is a Sizzix die cut, which I added some dots with a white gel pen.

Have a great evening!

A Little Birdie made a Wish!

And his wish came true! I got some new SU! stuff today, from a Bulk order I had placed.  In it was some new designer paper called "Morning Sunshine".  It is so pretty! I love the bird/owl theme that seems to be all over the place these days.

For my card, I used Mercy's sketch challenge (MTSC29), which are always fab because she has so many neat little layers and pieces to her sketches.  I used the stamp set "Petal Pizzazz" along with a bird image from Hero Arts.  I stamped the bird and stem onto my white piece of paper, and then stamped the leaf and flower 2 times on white cardstock and cut it out, and then layered the pieces together.  The brown flower is a button (also from the bulk order, the new Latte button set) with a brad placed in the center.  The sentiment is SU!, I'm not sure the set though.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Mojo Love

Hi!  I made this card this evening for the Mojo Monday #72 sketch challenge.  This is a special week because there is a prize at stake!  I used my Rosy bittybloom from Stamping Bella for my card.  She was watercolored with ink and an aquapainter, and her skirt was paper pieced with a piece of the Bella Rose dp.  I added some glitter to the center of her flowers with a glue pen and loose glitter. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.  The flowers are from Prima (Essentials 4  if you are interested!).  The flowery scallop border is a MS punch.

On another note, I am (not so patiently) waiting for my new SU! order to arrive! Who am I kidding, it'll be awhile since I just ordered it yesterday -lol!  I'm literally drooling over the gorgeous new cards I've seen with the new sets! Can't wait till the big brown truck visits my house! :)
