Hi all! I have had a scrappy week and weekend! I spent a few days with my friend Joan house-sitting and dog-sitting for her brother. We set up our scrap stuff in the dining room and scrapped for a few days. This weekend was more of that, I made 2 mini-albums for friends (baby and wedding) and finished my DC album! It feels soooo good to actually finish an event and have a complete album.

Since I haven't photographed the mini-albums yet, I thought I'd share a DC album page that I made last week. This one features Eleanor Roosevelt, one of my favorite first ladies! Her quotes are always my favs.

On this page I used supplies from the Pink Paislee "Queen Bee" line. I added the pop of dark pink to make the page more feminine. I used the Slice and cartridge "Vintage Findings" to cut the leaves and flowers. The title is one of Eleanor's quotes, and a personal favorite. The stamps are Ali Edwards by Technique Tuesday.

Look whoooo's in the house!

The new Stampin' Up owl punch is in the house! Lol! This adorable punch was in the new SU! catalog, and I couldn't resist it! All the pieces are in one punch, so it makes it super easy to use. The branch is from the birdie punch that SU! makes. This was Sara's birthday card this year, and I thought the owl was just perfect for her! The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's June Bug line, and I cut the scallop squares from my nesties and Big Shot.

Feeling Witchy

Ever felt witchy? I sure know I have, lol! I made this layout this morning with some new Echo Park Papers. This is their Halloween line called "Happy Halloween". I became a fan of Echo Park Paper on Facebook, and they have a bit of a contest going to post some layouts using this paper pack. I pulled out some photos from last Halloween of the gang, and got to work this morning.

I splattered the background with Maya Mist in Charcoal, and then added the accents on top. Here is a close-up of the sticker accent and title:

I made this banner by cutting triangles and then added some letter stickers:

I pleated the paper and then stitched over it to anchor it down and to add some interest.

DC & Long Title

Good evening! I've been scrapping a whole lot lately, but haven't taken photos yet of much of them, so here is one I made last weekend. I love the Imaginisce "Scooter's Vacation" line so much, and had planned to use it for my Bermuda photos. Unfortunately, we didn't ride scooters, so I no longer feel the need to hoard this paper, lol! I put it to good use for some DC photos.

These photos were all taken on the sightseeing bus that we rode through DC. These were all just some random photos of things we saw, so I pieced them all together to form a collage.

Here is a close-up of the journaling box. I put a number sticker on each photo and then on the journaling block as well, and wrote what each stop was. The camera stamp is from Unity Stamps.

My title was inspired by a layout from Kelly Purkey in her Sketchbook2 class. These little BasicGrey stickers are perfect for this kind of long title.

Project 12 July

Hi again! Here is my latest Project 12 layout for the month of July. I loved this sketch this month because it allowed for so many photos! I did have many photos from July so this was perfect! The biggest family event in July was my brother's wedding, so many photos are from that, as well as the 4th of July, Andy's birthday, and a balloon festival.

I used patterned paper from BasicGrey's Lemonade collection, and flowers that I made at the CKC convention in the Creating Keepsakes flower technique class. I used the Tim Holtz ticket die cut strip from the Big Shot to make the tickets and then stamped some Ali Edwards sentiments inside the tickets. Here is a close-up of the tickets and flowers (sorry for the photo glare, I've been having problems with that lately!):

This is the ticket from the other side of the layout, and a fun layered circle flower made from dictionary paper which was glimmer misted:

Project 12 April-June

Good evening! I've been a bit behind on my Project 12 layouts, and got caught up between yesterday and today. I completed April back in May, but never got around to photographing it, so I've included it here. I made May and June yesterday.

Here is April:

I used the Scarlet Lime April kit which featured paper from Lily Bee Designs. Here is a close-up of the title block:

I cut this medallion from the patterned paper and then layered some embellies over it:

Next up, May:

I used the March Paper Poppy kit for this layout, which included papers from Jenni Bowlin. I made the flowers by die cutting felt with my Nestabilities dies, and then adding a Jenni Bowlin button, and a scallop dictionary paper circle.

And finally, June:

This layout features paper from the Echo Park "Summertime" line. I love the summery bright feeling! Here is a close-up of the sun I created from the patterned paper:

This cute pin-wheel was the perfect summer addition:

I tucked a scalloped circle out from the photo with some letter stickers and stamped a Ali Edwards sentiment:

Sketchbook Inspiration

This morning, in my inbox, was a lovely email with the latest Sketchbook 2 layout and some awesome samples. I was instantly inspired, especially by Maggie Holmes layout, and got to work on the next pictures up in my DC album.

I used patterned paper from Basic Grey's June Bug line. I've had this pack for about a year now, and never really used it that much. I'm loving all the great prints in it though! I cut the stars from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge. The "today" stamp is from a Studio Calico kit, and the other stamps are from Technique Tuesday's Ali Edwards line. There wasn't really enough room for all of the journaling I wanted to include, so I made a pocket with the red polka dot paper and tucked the Jenni Bowlin journaling card behind there.

Scrap August Update!

Scrap August continues! I've managed to make at least a page a day this week, some days more than one. I'm focusing on finishing my Washington DC album, and have primarily been scrapping that this week. Today I used the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers (#115). This week's sketch was made my Aphra, and I just love her style!

I pulled out some DC photos, from our quick drive through Georgetown. The houses were so pretty there, and lots of them had beautiful gardens of flowers. We were on the upper deck of a sightseeing bus, so these photos were taken at about 35 mph, lol! I used supplies from the "Lemonade Stand" kit from Noel Mignon to create this:

I found this tutorial for making a gather flower on Youtube, created by Kristina from Two Peas. It was so easy and cute, so I made a few to add to this lo. Here is a close-up of one (I think this one came out the best! lol):

Scrap August!!

Wow, it's been awhile! Life has calmed down a bit and I've vowed to make August a very scrappy month! My goal is to make at least a page a day, and so far I've kept that promise (well not today yet, but I have plans to!). This past weekend I attended CKC in Valley Forge, PA, and took some really awesome classes. One class was sponsored by Studio Calico, and we got to explore Maya Mist. I'd never used it before and I didn't realize that it's more like a spray paint than glimmer mist. I was pleasantly surprised! These are the two los we made in that class using masking and misting (and they even have photos on them!):

I really love the idea on "Cherry Blossoms" which was to use die cuts (the cherries) as masks and then mist over them. Since you use the back side of the die cut chipboard piece, you still have the front side left over to use as an embellishment.

I explored the misting a bit more at home yesterday, and made my own lo with glimmer mist and masking. I just cut a piece of white paper the size I wanted to mask, and then put it on my cardstock and misted over it. This was the awesome result:

I signed up for Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook2 class over at Studio Calico, and my first sketch came to my inbox yesterday. I always thought it was a waste to pay for sketch classes because there are so many free sketches online, but let me tell you it is worth it! I got so much inspiration from this sketch and I loved seeing all the different takes on it from the SC design team. I was inspired to make this lo, and another which I haven't photographed yet.

I also pulled out my Dear Lizzy fabric paper and played around a bit. I die cut it with my Sizzix to make the leaves and flowers, and then took my edge distresser around the pieces to get the frayed look. I also ripped the paper (which ended up ripping off the adhesive, but that was okay I just added my own) and placed it under some of the accents. Here are some close-ups:

Color Combo Fun!

Hi! It's been awhile, but life has been incredibly hectic lately! This week Color Combos Galore launched their new re-vamped site, and I just fell in love with the beautiful color combo! I used some photos from last summer of my friends Joan and Katie, when we celebrated my birthday down in Point Pleasant. The colors were blue, yellow, green, and cream. I pulled papers from the Girl's Paperie, Scenic Route, and Webster's Pages to use on the lo. I just bought these Spellbinders Nestabilities die cuts from the convention a few weeks ago, and I used them to make the layered flowers. I topped the flowers with a brad from my I-top tool using fabric.

I also used Jenni Bowlin's butterfly banner stickers for part of my title, as seen below:

BG Origins Almost Gone!

Hello again! Just got back from seeing "The Back-Up Plan" with J-Lo, and it was the funniest movie I've seen in awhile! I'd definitely recommend it!!

On to scrapping, these are two more los I made today using Creative Scrapper's sketches. For both, I used paper and embellishments from Basic Grey's "Origins" and the January Studio Calico kit. At first, I wasn't too sure about the Jan SC kit, but after making these two los, I am really liking it! I think I just needed to find the right photos to fit with the paper and embellies. Also, I am so very proud of my Mom and I because we have almost finished our entire supply of BG Origins paper! I don't think I have EVER finished an entire paper pack before, there are always a few sheets left over. As of right now, there are 2 full sheets and some small scraps (although not too many because I was already yelled at not to save teeny tiny pieces)! There are still a lot of embellies left, however.

Sorry for the weird glow film-y looking thing going on in my photo, I'm not sure what that is, but must have came up when I photographed the los.

I'm loving these stick pins now, and tying string around it. The big bows are too cute!

This lo is my fav! I used some bits of the paper from the SC kit, and stitched them down with my sewing machine. I cut the chipboard swirl to fit in and break up all the black that was printed on it.

The flower was left over from another lo this week. I die cut tissue paper in the shape of a flower and then glimmer misted it yellow. It was sitting on my desk and the color matched so perfectly that I had to include it!

Clear Skies Ahead~Creative Scrappers

Good afternoon! Hope you are enjoying your weekend, I know I have! I was able to scrap some this morning, after a very busy week. I made the left page of this lo on Thursday for the Creative Scrappers #100 sketch lo, and then modeled the right side after the sketch to complete the 2 pager. Supplies are from Making Memories "Flutter line" and K & Co "Wild Raspberry" line.

The rainbow and clouds are both cut from the Cricut cartridge "Once Upon a Princess". The umbrella is from the Spring Slice cartridge.

Lean on Me~Sketch Inspiration

Here's a lo I made for this week's Sketch Inspiration challenge. When I saw the prize was a Studio Calico kit, I knew I had to give it a go! I used a photo of Roxie and Grace from Spring Break. Roxie was too cute with Grace, always using her head a as a pillow! I used paper and accents from the new Basic Grey line called "Max and Whiskers".

I made the yellow flowers by die cutting some flowers out of tissue paper. I then secured them together and glimmer misted them. Finally, I added a brad I made from the I-top to the center. The brown flower is the same die cut but with chipboard and paper (which I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder). I cut the leaf accent and the white paper behind the dog from the Slice.

Project 12 Jan-March

Good Evening! So at a crop in February my friend Joan won a free crop hosted at a local scrapping store called Scrap-a-doodle-doo in Ramsey, NJ (super awesome store!), then at another crop in March Joan won it again! So we had our first of 2 free crops at the store this past Friday night. We had a great time, and I even picked up some new Tattered Angels goodies! I was able to work on my latest project as well.

While blog browsing last week I found the awesome Canadian online scrapbook magazine called Scrapbooks and Cards Today. The website hosts a challenge called "Project 12," where the basic idea is to create a layout for each month of the year like a 'highlight' of the month. What really had me hooked was the awesome sketches by Becky Fleck that you can choose to use each month (and you know I'm a sketch kinda gal!). So Friday night I finished January:

I used my Studio Calico February kit, plus some extra Basic Grey Nook and Pantry papers.

Next up is February. I used my Noel Mignon February "Object of My Affection" kit featuring these gorgeous My Mind's Eye papers. I added a lot of machine stitching around the outside of the patterned papers in a free-hand swirly stitch. I cut the title "February" from the Cricut using the "Designer's Calendar" cartridge from glitter paper.

Last up is March, which uses paper from Basic Grey's "Origins" and Little Yellow Bicycle's "Lucky Me" line. Although March wasn't necessarily lucky for me, it was still a month FULL of pictures! I added machine stitching, and even pleated and stitched the yellow ribbon running across the lo.

I'm loving this project! April's sketch is up on the blog and I have plenty of Spring Break photos to use for my lo. I may even have to make 2 since I took around 1000 photos over Spring Break week! It's going to be hard to narrow that down. Hope you have a lovely week!

Imaginisce Sketch Challenge for April

This is a lo I made following a sketch from the Imaginisce Blog for the month of April. The very talented Aphra created the sketch, and the requirements are that you base your layout on the sketch and use at least 75% Imaginisce products. All paper is from the Twitterpated collection, which matched very well to these photos from Vancouver. I used my Cricut and the cartridge "Give a Hoot" to cut the owl and fawn. This cartridge is sooooo perfect for my Vancouver/Alaska album!

Buuusssyyyy Spring Break!

Spring break for me comes to a close tonight...spending my last few hours relaxing before settling back into the daily grind tomorrow. This was the first day of my 10 day break that I had no plans, and I took advantage of that by scrapping! I even scrapped photos that I took from my spring break activities (lol, thats like a 5 day turn around on photo taking and scrapping!). Both pages are based on sketches by Julie Bonner from her blog. I was so sad for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks to close because Julie has the best sketches out there, but luckily she posts new sketches on her blog very often!

For my first lo I used photos from Washington, D.C. (where I was from last Sunday to Wednesday). The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and were absolutely gorgeous! I used dp and accents from Basic Grey's Koshi line (such perfect colors!). The title box, Sunshine and Smiles circle accent, and scallop date/place border are from the etsy site Shabby Chic Crafts.

When I wasn't in Washington, I was babysitting my cousins while their parents went to Ireland. It was so exciting to celebrate Easter with kids! We went to Van Saun Park zoo where we were lucky enough to meet a furry little bunny and see the Easter bunny.

Some Vancouver LOs!!

Good evening! I spent a lot of the weekend scrapping, yay! On Saturday I went to an all day crop and only finished about 6 los, but I was okay with that because I really liked them! Yesterday, after I unpacked everything, I made a few more los. This first one is using this week's sketch challenge on Let's Scrap:

I used some new dp and accents by My Mind's Eye called "Little Boy Blue". Those cute vintage animal flash cards are from an Etsy site called "Pretty Little Studio".

Next up is a lo using this week's sketch from Inspired Sketches. I used dp and chipboard from Cosmo Cricket's "Nutmeg" line. I cut the bear from the Cricut cartridge "Give a Hoot". These are photos from the top of Grouse Mountain where they have a bear habitat. The bears come in and out of their homes, and here we were lucky enough to get up close and personal with them!

Last, is a baby lo about a beluga! LOL, I felt kinda funny pulling out soft pink colors and baby papers for this animal lo, but it worked! A few months before we visited the Vancouver Aquarium, a beluga gave birth to this little baby. We got to go into a special habitat where the baby and mother spend their time bonding together over the first few months of the baby's life. No flash photography was allowed, and you had to be extremely quite to not disturb mother and baby.

I used dp by Jenni Bowlin, and Making Memories (Vintage Findings). I pleated the lace and sewed it down to the paper to create the border. The heart and "Beluga" letters were cut from the Cricut, and the pink "baby" letters are Doodlebug stickers. The journaling block is a new Tim Holtz die cut from the Big Shot.

Sweet Sunshine, Sweet Memories, Sweet Friends

Good Evening! Here are a few los I made between yesterday and today. The first is using the latest sketch from Sketch Inspiration, along with some Vancouver photos and the Scarlet Lime March kit. Love this Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl" line!

Next up, I pulled out my new "Dear Lizzy" papers and embellies and got to work! This line screams FUN to me, so I grabbed a photo of Joan and I and had some fun! It just so happened that this month's Studio Calico went very well with the "Dear Lizzy" and featured some of the line as well. I used a sketch from The Scrappiest for the lo. The cloud in the upper corner says "Sweet Sunshine", so I went with the title "Sweet Sunshine, Sweet Memories, Sweet Friend".

Here is a close-up of the embellie card, which features a SU! stamp (the scooter), a Dear Lizzy chipboard fence, and Dear Lizzy sticker.

And lastly, I made these flower out of ribbon, by stitching up the side of the ribbon and pulling the threads together and tying them. I put a Dear Lizzy brad in the center, and then ruffled the flower around it.

Shower Gifts

Hi! I wish I had time to scrap tonight because I am in the mood for it, but I have to babysit George tonight in about an hour. Sometimes things just don't work out! I'll share with you the rest of the gifts I made for Christine for the bridal shower this past weekend. First up is this card set and matching box. The pattern for the box was found on Splitcoast Stampers, and I used Unity Stamps to decorate the outside lid.

These are the cards I made to go inside:

Each features a birdie stamp from Hero Arts and sentiment stamp from SU!. Each card has the same design, but different patterned paper.

My final gift was the card (because really the card is like a gift, right?) I used this adorable SU! image from a mini catalog a few years ago, as well as BG "Porcelain" paper. The bride was stamped in Craft Chocolate Chip ink and then covered in clear EP and embossed. I cut the roses out of the BG paper, and the leaves from a Sizzlit die with my Big Shot.

Home Grown

Hi! Christine's bridal shower was yesterday, and it was a success! She was surprised and wasn't expecting it! Today our family went over to help sort out the gifts, and then tonight I was able to get some scrappy time in (which hasn't happened in almost 2 weeks!).

I made this lo tonight using Scrap for a Cure's March Kit called "Strawberry Fields". My lo follows a sketch from their website which was designed for this month. These are pictures of my Mom and I next to a large wine barrel at Four Sister's Winery, which we visited this past fall for some wine tasting.

I cut the grapes from a Sizzix Sizzlit die cut (which was meant to be a cherry, but with purple paper I transformed it). I also cut the watering can from the Circut with the "Walk in my Garden" cartridge. Both are on a pretty glimmer misted (or Shimmerz) doily which was included in the kit already glammed up! Newlywed Banner!

I haven't had much scrappy time this week, but instead a lot more personal things going on. However, I had no school on Monday because the town water main burst and there was no water (funny because most of NJ had too much water over the weekend), so I was able to work on this wedding gift for my brother and his fiance. The bridal shower is this weekend, and I wanted to give a gift in addition to the bridal party's gift. This is part 1: a fabric banner! First, I have to say the photos do not do it justice because it was cloudy and rainy still on Monday and they are a bit dark, but it is soooo pretty in real life!

To make, I used wonder-under and ironed it onto the fabric, and then ran that through my Big Shot with the SU! banner die cut. I then stitched around the inside of the banner with a straight stitch (on the sewing machine). I used some In-Color grosgrain polka dot ribbon from SU! to connect the banner, and all I did was pin the ribbon to each banner and then run it through my sewing machine to adhere them together with a zig zag stitch. I then embellished the front by making these cute fabric flowers and then cutting the letters from my Big Shot out of chipboard and paper.

The whole process really only took me 1 and 1/2 hours! Here is a close-up of each letter: (RHC, for Robby, Heyrich (our last name), Christine)

Tying Up Some Loose Ends

Hello! It's been a busy week and weekend, but I was finally able to finish some things tonight. First off, I had a lo sitting on my desk since last Tuesday that just needed some finishing touches (done!). Then I made a little gift for someone special (shh...it's a secret!). Finally, I am posting my lo for last week's Sketch Inspiration challenge. I never got to uploading it in time for the awesome Noel Mignon prize, but I thought it was worth sharing here! I used a picture from Vancouver with my Mom and Grandma, and supplies from the brand new March Paper Poppy kit. It featured lots of goodies from Jenni Bowlin (so springy!), and other little doo-dads.

I cut my bird and his wing from some felt included with the kit on my Big Shot. I love that the Big Shot lets you create your own felt accents! Too cute!

Imaginisce Sketch Challenge for March

I made this fun lo yesterday for the March sketch challenge on the Imaginisce Blog. I loved that the sketch called for 3 photos, and I found these that matched this paper so well! These photos are from last June when my family helped me celebrate my birthday a few days early (we were in Key West on the actual day). The make the paper "ribbon curls" I cut a 1/4" piece of paper and then wrapped it around a pencil. I kind of smooshed down the curls so that they would lay flatter (I knew my album would really never close if I left them 3-D, and I already have a huge problem with that! LOL!). I used my I-top to make the cupcake brads.

Another Studio Calico!

I am in love with my Studio Calico kit (sorry, meant to say OUR Studio Calico kit, since I share it with my Mom, lol). I used the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers to make this lo yesterday, with supplies from the February Studio Calico "Baker's Dozen" and add-on kits. This is a photo from last March at my brother's engagement party. That BG lace paper is so pretty; this was the first time I used it. I cut it apart to conserve it, and to stretch it a bit so that I could use it on other los too!

Here is a close-up of the flowers I made with a SU! punch, which I rolled the edges of with a pencil to give some depth. I topped it with a cute BG chipboard heart from the "Sugar Rush" collection.

Vancouver View

This sure has been a scrappy weekend for me! I made a few more los today for a some different challenges, but I've missed my daylight time frame to take pictures (nighttime picture-page taking just doesn't always come out great!), so I'll have to share them tomorrow. This is a lo I made Friday night following this month's sketch on Inspired Blueprints (#43). I flipped the sketch for the second page in order to stretch it to a 2 page lo. These photos are from Prospect Point in Stanley Park, where there is a gorgeous view of the mountains surrounding Vancouver. I used one of my all time favorite scrapping lines, "Early Bird" by Cosmo Cricket. I mixed in some Little Yellow Bicycle paper as well (the patterned yellow), and combined some flowers and twine with the Early Bird chipboard. The title letters are both new letter stickers and chipboard letter stickers from Cosmo Cricket. My Mom used this sketch for some Halloween photos, and she used the Making Memories word fetti stickers to add captions to her photos. I loved the idea, so I copied it, using the "Great Escape" word fetti line for my photos.

Love Digs Deep Roots

Here's another lo I wanted to share, and I am sooooo excited about this one! I think it's one of my most favorite's that I've done in awhile! So let me start explaining things here...most supplies are from Jenni Bowlin, but also some Melody Ross by GCD Studios, and Jillibean Soup. For the fabulous medallion on the side, I used a Crafter's Workshop template, which I put down on the brown cardstock, and then glimmer misted over it with Candy Red Apple Glimmer Mist, and lifted the template up. I have NEVER had such a great impression before! Usually ink seeps under or I drop the template as I pick it up, and ruin a part, but this one came out so awesome! I loved it so much that I knew I couldn't cover it up, so I based most of the lo on the right side.

I came up with that cute title all by myself (am I proud or what?! lol). I thought with the tree roots and my g-parents have been together for like 55 years or so, and the title just popped in my head! I made that cute flower too following a tutorial from the Pink Paislee blog.

Here is another lo I made today using the Studio Calico February kit. These are some more pictures from the Vancouver gardens. This lo follows this week's sketch challenge on Let's Scrap as well. It's kind of hard to see, but between all the little photos I added stitching to make a grid-like pattern.

I used an adorable new Martha Stewart spring border punch with these little chickies for my accent here:

Hello! I made this lo today using a sketch from Creative Scrappers (#93). The photos are from our vacation last summer to Vancouver/Alaska. These pics were taken in Stanley Park in Vancouver, in their beautiful gardens. For the lo, I used the February kit (and add-ons) from Studio Calico called "Baker's Dozen". I loved this patterned paper with the doily banners, and luckily enough, the kit came with a matching stamp set, which I stamped and cut out to layer for my title. I made the turquoise ribbon flowers by punching a circle and then twisting ribbon and laying it down. I covered the inside seams with a Prima bauble.

Hi! I made this lo tonight using some Imaginisce "Sweet Cheri" paper and embellies. I followed the sketch challenge from Imaginisce on their blog which was designed by Julie (from 52 Sketches). I also found a pack of cupcake related products from Colorbok, which matched the Sweet Cheri paper. The cupcakes and polka dot and plaid papers are from this line. On the 3 strips of paper I sanded the edges to add some interest, since it seemed to blend too much. Underneath my cupcakes, I took some lace, and stitched it up to create a flower. I then Glimmer Misted the lace flower to make it pink. Here is a close-up:

I made this lo tonight with some snow photos from December. I used paper by Collage Press, as well as my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder on some solid cardstock. I used the Cricut cartridge "Snow Friends" to cut out the little snowman (he's too cute!), and a Sizzix die cut to cut the "Sled" letters, and then embossed them. I added a brad from the I-top on the mini snowflake anchoring together the two photos at the top.

Some Holiday LOs

I spent some time scrapping with my girls yesterday! I was able to get a lot of los done from my HUGE stack of Christmas photos! I used an assortment of some new holiday paper from this season, as well as two Christmas kits from Magpie Club and Noel Mignon. Here is some Christmas fun for you all!

This one is for the latest sketch challenge on Sketch Inspiration. I used supplies from my Noel Mignon Christmas kit.

These 2 use paper and embellishments from the Making Memories "Mistletoe" line. Love those colors!

This has a combo of October Afternoon and Collage Press. I made the photo mat by cutting 4 "top note" die cuts with the Big Shot, and then pieced them together. Luckily this paper is so busy that you don't even notice the seams.

This last one is my fav! Most paper is from October Afternoon, and the red dot and blue snowflake are from a Christmas Slab. I LOVE this Thickers font for the letters in the title also!

Chocolate Eskimo Kisses!

Hi all! I spent some time scrapping today, and decided to start working on my Christmas photos from our girl's trip to Hershey Park in December. It was such a magical weekend, with the pretty lights and snowy days, and fun times with the girls! I made these 2 los using dp by Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses line, as well as the coordinating chipboard.

For this first lo, I cut the word "Hershey" from the Cricut using the cartridge Winter Woodland. For the flowers, I cut two different sized circles, crumpled them, and then added a brad.

For the second lo, I added some October Afternoon stickers, and cut the word Joy out of the Cricut using the Winter Woodland cartridge. I then embossed the pink word with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, although it doesn't show up well here.

One last thing...does anyone else have issues with the BG chipboard? It never sticks, and I always have to add extra glossy accents to get it to stick to the page. Anyone else have this problem, or even a different solution?

Celebrating Glee!

Hi! I've had the past 2 days off because of the snow storm that has hit us, but I think reality will be coming back tomorrow and I'll have to go back to school! Fortunately, I will only have school tomorrow and then off next week for winter recess! Woohoo!

I was able to make a few layouts yesterday, and I focused on trying to get a lo made for the Noel Mignon "Glee" challenge. Anyone who knows me knows that I am absolutely, positively obsessed with the TV show Glee!! I simply adore their offbeat humor and the singing is super! The soundtrack CDs had gotten deleted off my ipod, and Joan was borrowing my cds and I felt like I was in Glee withdrawal because I had to go a whole week without listening to it! LOL, I'm such a dork, :).

So when I saw that there was a Glee challenge, I knew I had to participate. I used the photo from the show as inspiration for my lo, and I used the title "Defying Gravity" from the soundtrack. I used the new Jenni Bowlin line called "Homespun" for most of this lo, as well as some BG paper for the background, Thickers letter stickers and Heidi Swapp ghost flowers. I stitched between the boxes as well using my sewing machine (although I think its a bit hard to see in this photo). I love, love, love those adorable banner stickers too! So simple and so stinkin' cute! LOL!

Welcoming Home Kit!

Good evening! Andy and I went up to Costco this evening to pick up some pictures I recently ordered. When I got to the photo desk, and told the man my name, he goes "What was that...oh yeah I remember". I ordered so many photos that I am famous at Costco! LOL! There were 5 boxes of photos! Boxes, not those little envelopes! I justify this because 2 boxes were Alaska photos for Gram, and the other 3 boxes were Christmas for myself, my Mom, and a few for Joan too. So that doesn't make it sound as bad, right?!

This photo was one that was in the 3 boxes, of Grace on Christmas when she got her American Girl Kit doll. See that huge smile on her face? She wore that smile for an entire week will she visited us! I finally got my idea down on paper from the sketch I saw on Stuck sketches this evening, and this is what I came up with! All supplies are from the Noel Mignon January "Paper Doll" kit. I found this great tutorial online last night about ribbon and paper pleating, and I recreated this on the strip below my photo. I ran out of paper half way through, so I came up with the creative solution of covering the seam with a flower!

Good evening! Had a busy day today, so I couldn't fit in any scrapping time. Andy and his girlfriend are going to Disney in March, and he asked me to help him cut out some Cricut Disney characters tonight to get ready for his scrapbook. We cut Mickey and Goofy and a title for each before he got bored (lol). He said we'll do a few each night...

I have this idea for a lo in my head with the latest sketch from Stuck! sketches, but I am trying to find time to get it actually put on paper!

This is a lo I made a few weekends ago with some photos from Father's Day. I used paper and accents from the BG Origins line, as well as a Unity stamp (journaling block). The "Memories of You" is a BG stamp from this line (I LOVE this cute font!).

American Honeys

I made this layout tonight with some photos from this past 4th of July. The new Lady Antebellum CD came out this week, and I absolutely love their latest single "American Honey". While listening this week on my way to work, I thought it would make the perfect title for some pictures of these All American girls!

I used pp by Basic Grey's Boxer line, as well as pp by Jenni Bowlin, and Jenni Bowlin accents. The journaling card, month card, and circle polka dot stickers are all Jenni Bowlin. For the month card, I only used the top because I wanted to highlight the July 4, and then used the rest of the card to punch out the stars. The letters stickers are Thickers by American Crafts.

Some Fall Memories...

I made these los tonight, using some sketches. This first lo is for Sketch Inspiration #108. I pulled out all the Halloween supplies I could find (and boy were there a lot!) and put them together to make this! I told my Mom that we have more Halloween scrapping goodies than photos from the holiday!

This second is a 2 page lo, with some photos from an afternoon spent at a winery where we sampled a bunch of different wines. I used pp by Basic Grey's "Nook and Pantry".

I made these pretty flowers from a Sizzix daisy die cut. I cut the 3 sizes out from chipboard, then covered them with Crackle Paint, and then adhered them together and added a cute button!

Some Early Bird!!

These are 2 lo's I made today, both using a "Color Me Miki" kit from last June, which featured paper and chipboard by Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line. The first lo is from the latest sketch on Inspired Blueprints (40). These are more pictures from Key West, this time at Ernest Hemingway's house. We didn't go in and tour, but got some nice shots of his home from the outside.

My second lo also uses the kit and Early Bird. These are photos from the Key West lighthouse, which is across the street from Ernest Hemingway's house. My Mom came up with the cute title, and I loved it!

Just a quick post tonight...I just got home from a combo of tutoring and babysitting for the night, and I thought I'd share a lo I made this weekend. I used some pp and accents from Basic Grey's new "Origins" line to make this St. Patrick's day lo. The title and shamrock accent were both cut from the Cricut cartridge "Designer Calendar". The lo is based on an older 52 Sketches 52 Weeks sketch (actually kinda loosely based, lol).

This is a second lo I made tonight, which I made following the January Magpie Club Sketch. I used some more bits and pieces from my December Magpie Kit, as well as some Collage Press Joyride collection paper. Again, I added the digital element on the photo in Photoshop Elements, and then printed it out.

This is a self-portrait photo and Andy and I from sledding back in December. Journaling reads: "What makes a brother? Unconditional love despite hardheadedness. Love ya, little bro." I think hardheadedness runs in our family, and we still try to see each other's best qualities despite this!

I made this lo tonight using my October Scarlet Lime kit, and some photos from this fall. I have been really into the idea of hybrid scrapping lately (combining elements of digital scrapping into traditional paper scrapping). I purchased Photoshop Elements a few weeks ago, and I've been scouring the internet for tutorials and ideas. This week Ali Edwards is featuring some hybrid scrapping tips on her blog. Today, she has a free download of this digital element, which I added onto my photo and then printed out on my new printer (oh boy do I love that thing, lol!)

I thought it'd be fun to add an abbreviation title, because it's such a sign of the ages! LYLS stands for Love you like a sister, and Joan has truly become like a sister to me over the span of our friendship! I also based my lo on a sketch from Julie's blog (she used to design the sketches for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks).

Christmas Traditions

I made this lo today with more photos printed from my printer (lol!). I used some bits and pieces from my December Magpie Kit, as well as some older pp (Christmas Slab...yea that is old!). I cut the giant snowflake from the Cricut using the cartridge "When it's cold outside" from some Bazzil Swiss Dot cardstock. I set the cut at "Fit to Page," and it cut it at 9 3/4" which was large enough to create a giant snowflake accent! I love the big pop that it makes against that red and white stripped background! I also used some glittery Making Memories alphabet letters.

I journaled about our Christmas Eve tradition, which is to spend the evening at our Grandmother and Grandfather's house. Santa usually drives by on the fire truck, but we missed him this year! We all posed next to her tree, and we told her that she needs to get a larger one to accommodate my 6'5" brothers!

Busy Weekend!

Had a busy scrapping weekend that is! I completed a bunch of LO's this weekend, and even broke in my new printer! I got a 12 x 12 Epson printer, which prints beautiful photos! I was practically jumping up and down for glee when I saw the photos come out of my printer! LOL! This is the LO I made with my freshly printed photos (okay, how gorgeous is the quality of the photos?!):

The LO features Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper line. I used my Cricut machine to cut the title from the "Winter Woodland" cartridge, and the snowman from the mini "Snow Friends" cartridge. I used my Cuttlebug to add the Swiss Dot details on the letters and snowgirl. I saw this adorable idea to use the snowman as a letter on Color Combos Galore, and knew I had to recreate it! There is some machine stitching along the bottom and top of the photos holding down the snowflakes.

I {heart} Glimmer Mist!

Well, I want to start this post off by talking a little about glimmer mist! This gorgeous product gives the most beautiful shimmery look when applied to paper. But, Tattered Angels (the company that sells Glimmer Mist) has just made their whole product better by releasing Glimmer Glaze, a paint like substance that has the same effect as Glimmer Mist! Check out their education blog for more details.

In honor of Glimmer Mist I made a lo tonight featuring it! I was highly inspired by the "Times Square" page of Sue's mini-album on the Tattered Angels blog (look for the post titled "Fun with the Garden Journal Album), and pulled out some similar supplies to create my lo.

My lo features photos from this summer from my Key West trip (surprised? That seems to be all I scrap these days!). To make my lo, I glimmer misted watercolor paper with Mimosa, Watermelon, and Cherry Limeade Glimmer Mists, using a swirly and compass screen. I then stamped the compass on top of the screen (which kind of covered up the screen). For the little card (which is a Tattered Angels Bingo Board) I used Patina, Riptide, and Mimosa Glimmer Mist. I then stamped some Unity Stamps for the words. For the title "Life" I used the Framed Fonts alphabet which I sprayed with Cherry Limeade glimmer mist. I also glimmer misted the flower, with Riptide.

I-Top, Do You?

LOL, I finally used my I-top maker tonight! This awesome tool let's you custom make your own brads. I made the 3 brads that are in the middle of each flower cluster, using paper that matched my LO. Very cool effect! My I-top was a gift from my brother and his fiance for Christmas this year. This is a LO for fun...I feel like everything I've done in the past couple months has been for a sketch challenge, but this one was all me! These are photos from the Sloppy Joe's Bar in Key West from this summer. I used patterned paper by October Afternoon called "Cherry Hill" along with my Cricut machine to cut out the flowers. I then bedazzled my layout with MAMBI's circle rhinestone accents. The journaling features the drinks that each of us had.

Page Maps Sketch Contest

I made this lo tonight for the End of Year Page Maps sketch contest on their blog. This photos are from this past September, of myself and my friend Joan at the apple orchard. I used supplies from a JuJu Bee's kit (from November I think), which I got on clearance from their site a few weeks ago. The kit features gorgeous paper by Bo Bunny called "Kitchen Spice". In addition to the kit elements, I used some Unity stamps (the title saying, and the flowers with stems). The other flowers that I cut out are from a SU! set. I have featured a close-up of the journaling box and title details below.

I made these 2 cards this weekend for 2 friends. I used a Stamping Bella stamp (they had been unused for far too long now that I've caught the scrapping bug!), as well as a sentiment from SU! The dp is by Basic Grey (Eskimo Kisses). Bella's dress and boots were paper pieced with the dp. The snowflake punch is by Martha Stewart, as is the border punch.

Surf's Up in December!

I've been working on photos from my trip to Florida last summer. Tonight, I was browsing a bunch of Cricut blogs and it got my Cricut fingers itchy! I decided to pull out "Life's a Beach" and work on those Florida photos! For this lo, I cut the bikini, swim trunks, and title "Surf's Up" from "Life's a Beach," and the circles from "Plantin Schoolbook". The dp is by K & Co, and is called "Citronella." The colors and designs are beautiful and are perfect for these summery water photos. The scallop is from a chipboard pack which had a bunch of different sized frames. I covered it with "Broken China" distress crackle paint. The fishies are a Martha Stewart punch, which I punched out of the glitter paper.

Wow, I just realized that I meant to add some journaling on the orange circle! I'll have to go back and add it in...lol!

I made this lo tonight using sketch #49 from 52Sketches. This photo is from my Disney trip, taken with Chip and Dale in Hollywood Studios. The dp is by Cosmo Cricket (Mr. Campy), and BasicGrey (Infuse). The leaves and flowers were punchouts from the BasicGrey pack. I cut Chip and Dale from my Cricut Disney cartridge. They were a bit of a pain because I wanted them to be small, and there were a lot of pieces involved. Making them took me longer than everything else on here! The chipboard alphabet letters are by Heidi Swapp, circa 2005 maybe? I love using up old supplies!

Magpie Sketch

Howdy! I made this lo last night following the December Magpie Club Sketch. I did add a few extras in there, like another photo and I skipped the double matted circles, however it seemed to fit better this way. These are photos from our trip to Alaska this summer (bet you didn't think it was summer, huh?) when we toured Tracy Arm, a national glacier park. I used paper by BasicGrey called Eskimo Kisses, as well as the matching chipboard set. The branch and pink tag are cut from 2 different Cricut cartridges (Winter Woodland and Holiday Tags). Some elements were from the December Magpie kit also (music tag, chipboard tree, some paper).

Hi! I've been a very bad blogger, and Sara has reminded me of this, so this post is for you Sara! I made this advent calendar for the Christmas season and I thought I'd share it here. I used dp by My Mind's Eye, and all die cuts were cut with my Cricut machine, and then inked with SU! inks. I used the 2 Christmas cartridges I have: Winter Woodland and Joy's of the Season to cut all images.

All Girl

Good evening! I thought I'd share this lo I made this past weekend, featuring a photo of my 2 cousins from a few years ago. For my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary 2 years ago, we took professional family portraits. This is a photo from that shoot. I used a Let's Scrap sketch from last week as my inspiration. The dp is from Basic Grey's Wisteria paper pack. I used my Cricut and the cartridge "A Child's Year" to cut out the shadow girls and the title scalloped oval word "girl". I added some white pen detail to the mats of these images.

Inspired Blueprint LOs

These are some los I made following 2 sketches from Inspired Blueprints for this month. The first lo uses photos from the Sussex County fair from last summer. I used pp by Nikki Sivilas Scrapbooker called "My Sweet Cherry Pie". Honestly, I'm not too crazy about it, so feel lucky I actually shared it...lol.

The second one I like much better! (I made this last night, and the other one tonight, sometimes your mojo just doesn't work some nights!). This uses photos from 4th of July. I loved the large star in the background and it was just perfect for the 4th of July. I used pp by Basic Grey (Boxer) and Melissa Frances (Little Guy). The little ticket is from the Melissa Frances Patriotic Ticket Book. The bingo card is by Jenni Bowlin, as is the journaling sticker. I cut the star and the banner from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge. For the banner, I actually cut out diamonds and then cut them in half.

Disney's Back!

Good evening! I took a break from scrapping Disney lately, but this weekend I pulled out some cute photos, and used a sketch from the Got Sketches? website. These are photos from Hollywood Studios, standing in front of the Sorcerer Mickey hat. The paper I used is by Crate Paper, as is the ribbon. It was from a kit I bought at a crop from CKC. For the red label, I peeled the original design off, and painted it red to match my lo. For the title, I used an embossing die cut from Quickutz (did you know they work in the Big Shot? yay!) and then cut each letter out and rubbed some sandpaper over it to reveal the white parts. I cut the mickey hands out from my Cricut cartridge.

Graduation - A 52 Sketches LO

I made this lo tonight following the 52 Sketches #37 challenge for this week. I used pp by Jillibean Soup called Alphabet Soup and Jenni Bowlin label style paper. The circle accents are journaling sprouts by Jillibean. I used the numbers and months as inspiration for some of my journaling, which I wrote with a SU! marker. I cut the report card out of the Jillibean Soup paper and then layered a Jenni Bowlin Bingo card over it. The twill was inked with real red ink and then tied around the Bingo card embellishment. The ribbon loops above the photo spell out "MSU," my school.

The Uniform Year & Some Jillibean Soup

There I am on my first day of school! I'm calling this our uniform year because all of our students are now required to wear uniforms and it's optional for teachers. To show school unity, most teachers wore the required uniform on the first day, though.

I made this lo for a challenge on the Jillibean Soup blog, which was to make a page with their sketch. I used papers from Jillibean Soup lines "Alphabet Soup," "Cream of Mushroom," and "Soup Staples". I also used the Jillibean Soup stamp set called "Home Tweet Home." From this set, I used the tree and bird to stamp on the journaling sprout. I also cut the schoolhouse out from the patterned paper and pop dotted it next to the stamped tree. Lol, I love that song! (Kenny Chesney btw for all of you non-country-loving-music fans!) I grabbed some inspiration from Kenny to make this lo tonight. These are photos from a fun night this summer at the 80's club "The Breakfast Club". I used dp by Basic Grey called "Urban Prairie" and the Hannah Montana cricut cartridge for the butterflies and the pink title mat. I love how that cartridge is totally not Hannah Montana looking most of the time, but instead is sorta fun and fresh. For the flowery/viney looking image underneath the left photo, I used the SU! set "Razzle Dazzle" and stamped it with black craft ink and then embossed with black ep. I used my Stampamajig to line everything up perfectly. The large scallop border was punched with the EK Success Diamond Lace punch (my Mom bought that and I just opened it tonight and it is super!). The top border is a Fiskars punch I can't remember the name of. The lo is based on sketch #32 at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks.

I made this lo with a photo from this summer of my friend Joan and I. We took this self portrait and I love how semi-tan we look (ok, Joan looks..lol) and fresh from the summer sun! I used a sketch from the June PageMaps. The dp is by October Afternoon, and the line is called "Cherry Hill". The stickers and punch-outs are also from the Cherry Hill line. The ribbon is from SU!. I stitched all of the seams on the background paper, and even around the decorative edge paper . The letter stickers are Thickers.

Good evening! Hope you had a great long weekend and celebrated Labor Day with the ones you love! I made this lo tonight for the 52 Sketches 52 Week sketch challenge #36 for this week. I used dp by My Little Shoebox; the lines "Flawless" and "Turtles and Trees". I cut out the flowers and the little houses at the bottom from the paper. I punched some sprig leaves with a Martha Stewart punch and then layered them under the flowers. The chipboard is by Maya Road, and was either covered in paper or painted. The title was cut from my Sizzix with the Sizzlits "Sock Hop". The photos are from Key Largo, in front of a favorite restaurant that we went to quite often. As we were driving from Key West from Key Largo, we passed a hotel called "Conch on In" and the title just stuck with me!

School's In!

It was back to work for me this week. I started school on Wednesday with a brand new batch of 1st graders. I have to admit, I was pretty beat yesterday and today, but after my 30 minute power nap when I got home this afternoon, I was ready to scrap tonight! Lol.

I made 2 los for some challenges on Let's Scrap. First is for their current sketch challenge. I used paper by Cosmo Cricket, called "Earth Love". I combined their rub-ons, chipboard and stickers to make a complete page. The photos are from my trip to Key Largo earlier this summer when we took a glass bottom boat tour. This was some of the wildlife we saw looking out on the boat.

My second lo was for this week's challenge which was to use a song title on your lo. I've been thinking about making this lo for a long time, and it finally came together tonight. I used Kenny Chesney's song "Key Lime Pie" to go along with some pictures of me eating key lime pie on my birthday in Key Largo. I used paper by Fancy Pants called "Summer Soiree", along with SU! Tart and Tangy stamp set. The flowers are prima, and I put a jelly sticker by KI Memories inside the middle (a gift from Joan...thanks!!). The letter stickers are Thickers.

A Glimmery Pumpkin!

I made this lo tonight using the 52 Sketches sketch challenge #35. I used dp by Basic Grey called "Indian Summer". This weekend I took 2 classes at the Somerset scrapping convention with Jen Starr using Tattered Angels products. I tried to incorporate some of the glimmer mist techniques Jen taught us in the class onto my lo. In the bottom left corner, I used a pumpkin mask from the Halloween Hauntings Glimmer Screen set. I sprayed "Golden Terracotta" glimmer mist over it. I then took the screen which had the glimmer mist on it, added some "Suede" glimmer mist and 'stamped' the screen next to the masked pumpkin. For the circle border, I used a Crafter's Workshop template, and "Cherry Limeade" glimmer mist to paint with my aquapainter. I also glimmer misted some Framed Fonts chipboard with "Sunflower" for my title.

I love learning new things, and I find the easiest way to remember them is to use the idea right away! Join me in using some of that glimmer mist I'm sure you own!

I made this lo using the 52 Sketches #34 sketch for last week. These pictures are from a Giants game last year. I went to the pre-season game last night, and sadly we lost. I can't remember the results of the game from this lo, but it was a fun memory! I used mostly supplies from the August Scarlet Lime kit, and added the letter stickers and journaling tag from Jenni Bowlin, and some dp by Melissa Frances. For the circle surrounding the #1, I wrapped ribbon around a chipboard circle. It looks pretty neat!

An August Halloween!

Hello everyone, and happy Monday! This is my last full week off before school starts up next week. I'll be in my classroom most of the week starting tomorrow to get things ready. On Friday and Saturday, I'll be taking classes and shopping at the Somerset scrapbook convention here in NJ. It'll be the last big scrap hurrah of the summer!

I was in Michael's on Saturday, and they had a whole display of new Martha Stewart Halloween punches. They even had some really large ones, larger than I've ever seen. I picked up the large haunted house, witch, and the graveyard border. I immediately began to see a Halloween scene.

I found this great sketch from the Mojo Monday blog that fit my Halloween scene perfectly. Mojo Monday celebrated 100 sketches, and in honor, each designer made their own sketch. This sketch was made by Janette. Most of this card was punched, with very little stamping. The patterned paper is by Basic Grey, called Eerie.

Hi everyone! I just can't help it, that Flopsey is too cute! I remember at first, I wasn't too crazy about Flopsey, but boy has he grown on me. Here he is reading some of his favorite books in a cozy spot. I made this card following the MFTSC95 on Splitcoast. To make, I cut a scalloped oval from my Sizzix die cut and then stamped Flopsey on the oval. I paper pieced him with some Basic Grey paper, and then paper pieced 3 of the books with the Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday paper. I used more Girl Friday paper for the rest of the card. The bottom strip of paper has been punched with the SU! eyelet border punch. The ribbon is from Making Memories. The sentiment continues inside of the card to read "let you pick up where you left off".

Tea With Flopsey

Here is a card I made today for the MFT My Favorite Challenge on Splitcoast (whew, what a mouthful!) The challenge was to use a set you've never used before. Sadly I've had this Flopsey for a few months and had never used him! I followed the sketch challenge on Let's Scrap this week for my layout.

I used mostly Basic Grey June Bug dp, but also some more solid images from other packs. For the fun border, I used a Fiskars border punch. The ribbon is from SU!, one of the new in-colors (Crushed Curry). For the Flopsey image, I paper pieced Flopsey, and the tree. For the tree, I cut out a scalloped oval from my nestabilities, stamped part of the tree on it, and layered it on top of the blue paper.

I also decorated the inside of the card to finish the sentiment that was on the front (A cup of tea, a shady tree...Wish you could keep me company).

Home Sweet Home!

Hi everyone! I'm finally home this week. I spent the last 10 days in Vancouver and Alaska, on a wonderful cruise! Yesterday, I was able to catch up a bit on my scrapping and all those sketch challenges I've missed. I made this layout following #33 on 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. This features a photo from Key West, FL. This is the Southernmost point of the United States, and if you were to travel 90 miles West, you'd reach Cuba. In fact, from here we were closer to Cuba than we were to Miami! I used almost entirely supplies from my August Scarlet Lime kit. The only thing I added was the letters that spell "Cuba", some crackle paint and cardstock. The letters are by KI Memories, and they were originally bright colors. I pulled out some Tim Holtz distress crackle paint and added a THICK layer on top of the chipboard letters. I let it dry for about an hour, and these awesome cracks appeared. I used the same technique for the fun flower stem (which came in the kit).

The second half of this layout doesn't follow a sketch, but uses the same supplies as the first. I used the distress crackle paint on the photo corners.

Good afternoon! This is a layout I made following the Let's Scrap 114 sketch challenge. I used some Jenni Bowlin papers, which were in a 4" x 4" size, along with Cosmo Cricket, and My Mind's Eye papers. The chipboard embellishments and stickers are from the Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line. Letter stickers, tickets, pearls, and journaling tag are from the Jenni Bowlin collection.

These are pictures from the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in Hollywood Studios at Disney. The only time we could get a reservation was for 10:30 at night, in order to all sit in the same car. We planned the day so that we went right here after the Fantasmic show. This was probably one of the best nights of our trip. I had some interesting difficulties with my milkshake, which led to some pretty funny moments!

Hello! This is a card I made with some new SU! goodies for my good friend, Ninetta who is getting married in September. I used dp from the Walk in the Garden paper pack, and the Big Shot die cut "Lattice". I added rhinestones to the "flowers" of the lattice. There is actually a very small amount of stamping on this card, only the sentiment, which I placed hanging off the side oft the card.

I just got an order of brand new SU! goodies in the mail! We actually only ordered like 3 stamp sets, and then some Sizzix new dies. The set I used here is called Friends Rock, and the coordinating wheel is called Rockin'. I thought the set was super fun and it screamed out to me! I kept my card here pretty simple to highlight the fun images. The bottom image is the wheel part of the set (I now have all my wheels unmounted and on E-Z foam which I attach to an acrylic mount to stamp) which I colored with all the new In-Color markers. The top portion is a stamp from the set which I also colored with the In-Color markers. I used some In-Color ribbon and paper for the rest. The Bermuda Bay paper is punched with an EK Success edge punch.

I bet your saying, Keith? Keith who? Lol (I know you are, Sara!). I am talking about Keith Urban, of course! I grabbed some inspiration from him for my layout today. I love his song called "Everybody" and I took a lyric from the song for my title on this layout. This is a photo of my brother's and I from my birthday last month. It is kinda rare that we are all together at once (and dressed nicely, at least for them) to take a photo. Now that we are are older, I think we have a different kind of appreciation for each other, and get along better. I think it's true that we need each other and do rely on one another.

I used some new Basic Grey "Lemonade" paper for my layout. It is BEAUTIFUL paper! I also used some of their chipboard stickers to match the paper line. The letter stickers come in the paper collection pack. The felt embellishments are the same ones I used on my "Wishes" layout and are by K & Company. The journaling tag is from Jillibean Soup (just found out about them, and I LOVE the soup theme she has!). I added a stamp from Close to my Heart to the bottom corner to include the date. I made this layout to follow the latest sketch challenge on 52 Sketches 52 Weeks (#29).

I made this card for my cousin Grace who will be turning 10 in August. I have to mail her gift to her because she lives so far away. Being the girly girl she is, I thought it was time to get her into Vera Bradley, so I got her a Cupcakes Pink lunchbox, and my Mom got her a matching purse and change purse. I wish I could be there to see her open it!

I made this card using the card sketch from Let's Scrap for this week. I stamped this Sophie image from Paper Pretties, paper pieced her dress and colored her with Copics. The dp is by Basic Grey (Gypsy). The sentiment is from a new SU! set, and the felt flower is also from SU!.

a County Fair! These are some pictures from last year's Sussex County Fair. I made this layout for this week's challenge on Let's Scrap which was to use fruit papers, pictures, or embellishments, and the word "summer" in your title or journaling. I used this adorable paper line from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooking called "My Sweet Cherry Pie". This is a new company to the scrapping world, but the papers and stamps are adorable! The paper line has a coordinating stamp set which I used to stamp the tree, cherries, horseshoe, and words "lucky me".

I made this layout featuring some pretty nighttime photos of Cinderella's Castle. We were eating dinner at the Polynesian near Magic Kingdom when the Wishes fireworks were showing, so we got to see it from there, but sadly couldn't take pictures. This layout is my tribute to the Wishes fireworks! The design is loosely based off the So Sketchy July #9 sketch. I used patterned paper by EK Success and Provo Craft (Rob and Bob). I traced the decorative edge on the paper from a template. The paisley chipboard is from Fancy Pants and I painted it with a paint dabber, and then added some K & Co felt embellishments and rhinestones. I made my own fabric flower in the upper right corner with fabric by Moda. The letter stickers are by Making Memories.

Good Morning! I wanted to share this layout I made yesterday. This past Easter, I was in Disney World, so I didn't really celebrate the holiday in the traditional form. These pretty southern ladies were in front of Magic Kingdom dressed in their Easter finest. They really helped celebrate the holiday!

I made this layout using the Fancy Pants Girl Craft Kuts collection. All papers and diecuts (except the cardstock) were from this kit. I cut 2 owls out of the patterned paper to use as accents next to my title and journaling block. I used the "So Sketchy-Ormolu" sketch for my layout.

Good evening! Have you ever made a layout and just loved it? This is one of those for me! I started out by using the Color Combo #126 on Color Combos Galore, but I kind of cheated because I added the Purely Pomegranate color (the original combo was orange, green, cream, and grey). Despite my cheating ways, I really like the results! I used patterned paper by SU! and Cosmo Cricket (Little Man, and Early Bird). I traced the decorative edge on the orange and grey paper from another sheet that already had this pretty border. On the edges of the background paper I used the stamp set "Razzle Dazzle". I also used the small flower from this set, which I stamped and cut out to accent, and also stamped them on the orange paper. The chipboard accents are from the Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird" line. The letter stickers are fabric Thickers.

I made this page today featuring Donald Duck at Epcot in Mexico. I followed a sketch from the blog "So Sketchy" for July. Check it out here! I loved that big star in the background, but couldn't find a stencil with a star pattern in my stash. I found a star in one of my Cricut cartridges, and cut it out from there. I used a combo of pp by My Mind's Eye, KI Memories, and Stampin' Up. I found the green tag in an old folder of distress techniques from a class that I had taken years ago. It matched perfectly! I made a fabric flower from some Moda fabric from the line "Soriee" by Lila Tueller. On top of my flower is a SU! stamp from the set "Cheers to You." Hi! Been awhile, huh? I've been very successfully scrapping a lot of my photos lately! Yay! I am finally back in my scrapping kick, but sadly not too many cards are being made. I was proud of myself tonight because I combined scrapping and stamping on this layout. I just received the new Scarlet Lime July kit in the mail today, with exclusive papers by Chatterbox's Melody Ross. The kit is just gorgeous and I immediately put it to use! This layout features a photo of my Mom and myself when we went strawberry picking. I layered a lot of the patterned paper from the kit over a piece of SU! designer paper. In the lower right corner I made my own fabric flower with some beautiful fabric by Moda. I also journaled on a stamped image which came in the kit.

I used a stamp set by SU! for the butterfly, frame, and sentiment in the upper right corner.

I made this layout this evening with a photo from this past Memorial Day following the latest 52 Sketches 52 Weeks sketch. I used some new paper by Cosmo Cricket called "Early Bird". I stitched on the layout with my Janome mini machine. I added some transparent letters underneath the main title which says "Family". They are easier to see in the close up below. I split "Family" so that part of it is on the left side of the photo and part of it is on the right side of the photo. I stamped some flowers from "Eastern Blooms" and embossed them 3 times with clear embossing powder, then used some In Color buttons tied with floss to top them off.

Hi all! I've been super busy working on my Disney layouts, so I thought I'd share some here. This first one uses Coordinations White Wash cardstock. When you sand the paper it leaves the bottom color (which is my case was orange). You can see it on the squares on the left side, which were embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. It is a super neat effect! I also used some dp by Daisy Buckets.

For the second layout I used Basic Grey "Cupcake" and some really adorable photos of Mickey from the Celebrate It parade.

Color Fun

Hi! Wow I can't believe I've let so much time go by! April passed in a blur and I can hardly believe its already May (although the weather certainly doesn't feel very May-like here!). I have actually been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately, and to get me in the groove I am taking an online Color course from the website "Got Crafts?" Our first challenge was issued last night and here is the layout I made. I used photos from my recent Disney trip. Bird Houses

These are the favors that Christine and I made for her and my brother's engagement party. I found the template for the birdhouses on Nichole Heady's blog. The roof and the base are made with scallop nesties. All dsp is from SU!. We made 40 of these birdhouses, and at the end of the party only 6 were left! Our guests loved them, and they were the perfect favor to complement our spring theme.

We purchased the tree branches, and buckets at G and G (a florist outlet store), and filled the buckets with sand, and then covered the sand with some river rocks.

Did you realize Easter is only 1 and 1/2 weeks away?! Granted, I'll be in Disney World that day, but I still needed to get some cards made to send out. I made this card this evening following Sketch Challenge #222 on Splitcoast. I used a Gingersnap set called "Spring Things!" by CC Designs. I stamped the fence, colored it in, and stamped the girl and bunny on separate paper. I colored them and cut them out to lay on top of the fence. I used Prismacolor pencils and Mineral Spirits to color all of the images. There is a light blue sky on my fence panel, but it doesn't show up very well. I used dsp paper called "Flock Together" from SU!, along with some G and G ribbon and a CTMH sentiment. Her bunny ears are covered in glitter for that extra touch! :) I stitched around the bottom layer and the image layer too. Thanks for stopping by!

Good evening! We just got home from my brother's engagement party which was today. I thought I'd share another card I made for them, featuring some brand new SU! products. I used the stamp set "Great Friend" along with the matching dsp "Walk in the Park" and the new rub-ons. Whew, what a list! I stamped the butterfly from the set 3 times, and then cut each out and layered them on top of a piece of baja breeze, stamped with the frame and the leaves. The love sentiment and birds are from the rub-on sheet. I machine stitched around the bottom layer. This card also follows the Mojo Monday #78 sketch from last week (I've become a little bit behind on these!).

We've been planning for the past 2 months for my brother's engagement party, which is finally tomorrow! I made this card this morning for him and his fiance to go along with my gift. I bought them these adorable plates and bowls from Pottery Barn with a fruit pattern (shhh...I bought them for myself too!).

This card follows Taylor's Cupcake Challenge for this week (TECC61). I featured this adorable Bittybloom by Stamping Bella, who was colored and paper pieced. I used my new Nesties that I just received in the mail yesterday to cut her out. The dp is by Stampin Up! called "Sweet Always". The sentiment is also SU!. Hello out there! I know it's been awhile, but unfortunately sometimes life gets in the way of stamping! I made this card for the TECC60 challenge on Taylor's blog. I received my new spring mini catalog pre-order, and this adorable bunny was one of the stamps I ordered. He is from the set "An Egg-cellent Easter". The bunny was colored with Copics, and cut out with nesties. I added some machine stitching around the bottom layer. The dsp is an oldie from SU! called "Sarah". My sentiment was stamped and then punched out with the word window punch, I used some linen thread to attach it to the ribbon.

Hello again! Squeezing in a quick post in between Dancing commercials! I made this card using "Good Night Ellie" which is an adorable set! I used SU! dp available during sell-abration right now. For Ellie, I paper pieced her pajamas, and then masked her to stamp the stars from this set behind her. I stamped and cut out the moon, and then used pop dots to adhere it. I used the Sizzix top note die cut behind Ellie, and a piece of Sahara Sand that I ran through my Cuttlebug embossing folder. On the main panel, I added a sentiment and then a bauble on top.

Tea-riffic!

Hello! I got my order from MFT and CCDesigns in the mail today. Since the CCDesigns still have to be cut to be put together, I grabbed the MFT to play with tonight. This set is called "Tea for Two" and although it wasn't a new release this month, it's a new set for me. I just love this little bunny sticking his head out of the cup! I also used the MFT designer paper from the Spring Paper Pack. Love these papers, and they are the perfect size for cards!

I followed the Mojo Monday #77 sketch for my card today. The scallop circle is a Sizzix die cut, and I cut the circles from my CM cutting system (STILL waiting for my Circle Scissors Plus!!). The bunnies were colored with Copics, and on the circles I added some glitter with a Copic Spica pen. I made a banner flag for my sentiment. The little baubles are green in real life, and I picked a whole container of these up at a wholesale florist store a few weeks ago. I think that's about all!

Off to create something else before the premiere of Dancing with the Stars!

Another Sunny Card

I made this card using the "We R Memory Keepers" Nonsense paper again, along with Daisybella. I also followed Jen's Sketch for you to try (SFYTT) from her blog. The sentiments are from the SU! set "Best Wishes and More". I added some Doodlebug glitter to bella's daisy, and colored her in with Copics. I added a EK Success wavy border punch along the bottom edge of the orange panel. I also punched a flower out of acetate and layered it underneath my bottom sentiment, secured with a rhinestone brad. Good evening! I spent yesterday at an all day crop, and I am just about finished with scrapbooking this Christmas. I won't mention all the other pictures I have just sitting around waiting to be scrapped, though!

Today I knew I wanted to use my MFT stamps, and pulled out "Can Ya Dig It?" which I paired with the MFTSC71 on Splitcoast. I paper pieced the girl's dress with some dp from "We R Memory Keepers" Nonsense line which I picked up today at Michael's. I colored the rest of the image with Copics, and added some inking around the edges with an ink pad and daubers. I stamped the wheelbarrow image, and then created a mask so I could stamp the flowers to look like they are sitting in there. I then cut it out and used pop dots to adhere it to give it some dimension. I used a new EK Success border punch I also picked up today for the border on the orange panel.

MFT Idol!

Good evening! I realized I've been neglecting my MFT stamps for too long, so I pulled some out a few days ago, and went to peek at the MFT message boards on Splitcoast. I discovered that they are holding a MFT Idol, and that anyone can enter by submitting a MFT creation. I made this card tonight for the challenge.

I used the stamp set "Retail Therapy" along with dp by Making Memories called "Sabrina" which just so happens to feature MFT colors: pink, white, and black. On the main image, I did a lot of paper piecing with the dp on one of the girl's dress and on some of the shopping bags. The rest was colored with Copics (and some SU! markers since I didn't have any gray Copics). I added the sidewalk with a ruler and pen, and colored it in with a gray SU! marker. On two of the shopping bags, I added some Kaisercraft flower rhinestones. I added some machine stitching around the bottom panel, and on the right side panel. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the adorable lace border. For my sentiment, I used 2 SU! oval punches, layered on top of each other, and added some MAMBI rhinestones.

Here is my card for the Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO76). I used the MFT "Baby it's Cold Outside" stamp set, along with the "Frosty Day" SU! dsp from the winter mini catalog from earlier this year. I'd never used this paper pack before today, and I love how these colors go together for winter. I used a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder on the bottom Bashful Blue piece of paper, and stamped the sentiment in brown ink. I then punched some hearts out ofTangerine Tango with a Martha Stewart punch and aligned them next to the sentiment. I then layered various papers, and topped it off with this lovely image. The image was colored with Copics, and her dress was paper pieced with paper from the pack. I added some Doodlebug glitter on the snow on the ground and on the snowman. I finished the card off with some pretty polka dot ribbon tied in a bow beneath the image.

Just for Fun!

Hello! We have a snow day today because of the snow storm that hit the eastern part of our country last night and this morning! It's still snowing a bit, but that doesn't stop anyone, does it? Cars are flying by right outside my window. Sometimes I wish they'd all stay home and let the snow accumulate on the roads so that we could get another snow day out of it! Oh well, a girl can wish, right?

I had this image left over from last night at the Prettie Pajama Party, so I thought I'd make an Easter card with her. This is the Sophia from the Bunny Hop set, which was just released last night on Paper Pretties. I colored her with my Copics, and added some Doodlebug glitter to her bunny ears and the eggs in her basket. I used the Delicate Dots dsp, which is available through the Sale-a-bration promotion that SU! is currently holding. I layered some SU! punches for the sentiment panel. The final touch was some ribbon tied around the corners of the bottom layer.
